Registration Fees
Student (MSc student & PhD student): €180
Academic: €300
Industry: €500

The registration fee covers access to all conference sessions and talks, and the meals specified in the programme (On the 4th and 5th of March: Lunch, Dinner, morning & afternoon coffee-breaks; On the 6th of March: Lunch, morning & afternoon coffee-breaks). It does not include travel, accommodation, or meals outside the official programme, which participants must arrange independently. For suggestions on transportation, and accommodation, please refer to the ‘Practical Info’ section.

Childcare: Available upon request between 9:00 and 17:00. Please note that spaces are limited. Kindly confirm your request by 21 November 2025.

Participation is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to venue capacity.

Fee waiver: fee waivers may become available. To be considered for a fee waiver an active contribution, in the form of a poster or oral presentation, is required.

For SFB1551 members, special conditions apply and the registration fee payment will be processed internally.

Participants consent to the use and processing of their registration data solely for the purpose of organizing the event. Personal data will only be shared with third parties if required by law.

Cancelation Policy 

Registration for the symposium is binding. If a participant wishes to cancel their registration, written notice must be submitted by email to sfb1551-office@uni-mainz.de. Cancellations are free of charge if received by January 31, 2026. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this date.

Abstracts

The abstract submission link will be provided in your registration confirmation email. Please check your inbox for the link.

Call for Abstracts
Active participation in our three-day symposium, in the form of a poster or oral presentation, is highly encouraged. Accepted abstracts will be included in the abstract book.

Abstract Guidelines
The abstract body (excluding tittle, authors, affiliations and references) may not exceed 300 words, and you may include up to 7 references. The use of the provided form for Abstract submission is mandatory. Noncompliance may result in abstract rejection.

 

Poster Presentation Guidelines
Posters must be prepared in DIN A0 portrait format. Please bring a printed copy of your poster. A final poster number will be assigned to each abstract and communicated to the first author. Poster presenters are responsible for setting up and removing their posters.
