Project Title: Intrinsically Disordered to α-Helix Transition of the IM30 Protein Structure

Summary: I study the transition of the protein IM30 from a manly α-helical to a highly disordered form and the impact of this transition on protein oligomerization and/or phase-separation. I aim to reveal whether there is a link between the protein´s primary sequence, its oligomer state, its propensity to phase separate, droplet characteristics and the physiological function of the protein. Furthermore, I investigate the interaction of IM30 condensates with membrane surfaces.
