Gutenberg Workshop – Multivalent Interactions in Aging – Targets for Intervention?

May 3, 2023 @ 9:00 am - May 5, 2023 @ 1:30 pm

This workshop will bring together experts in molecular aging, biopolymer interactions and polymer theory to discuss how non-deterministic, multivalent and disordered biomolecular interactions contribute to cellular function. While multivalent interactions come with a certain degree of resilience to perturbation, it is well known that disturbances of such interactions contribute to aging and devastating degenerative diseases. At this workshop, participants will discuss our current understanding of non-deterministic assemblies driven by disorder and multivalency and possible pathways towards the design of new and innovative intervention strategies to treat age-associated diseases.
