On February 1st 2024, some PhD students and Postdocs from the SFB1551 attended the workshop on “Navigating Challenging Conversations within hierarchies. – How can I get my message across?” by Heather Hofmeister.
This half-day workshop was jointly organised by GenEvo, 4R, SFB1361 and SFB1551, and focused on how to manage “difficult” conversations and differences in understanding each other based on different gender, cultural backgrounds, expectations and locations in the power hierarchy.
We will be hosting another workshop with Heather Hofmeister on June 6th , targeted at PIs and postdocs, and will focus on “Communication competencies in intercultural, intergenerational and diverse teams”.
Heather Hofmeister is a professor, speaker, leader, coach, writer and researcher. She holds a full Professorship for Sociology of Work at the Goethe-University, Frankfurt and is co-director of the Center for Leadership and Behavior in Organizations (CLBO).
